Suerte offer custom oxford cloth fabric solutions to fit different client needs. Oxford fabric is known for its special basketweave pattern. This pattern uses several weft yarns crossing over the same number of warp yarns. At Suerte, we carefully select the yarns. We weave the fabric using plain or twill basketweave methods. After weaving, we dye and finish the fabric to improve its color, feel, and strength. Our finishing steps include pre-shrinking, heat setting, and calendering. These steps make the fabric soft to touch and durable for long use.

Our Oxford Cloth Fabric is crafted from premium raw materials, including pure cotton, polyester, or cotton-polyester blends, selected to enhance softness, strength, and durability. The basketweave structure not only provides abrasion resistance but also ensures the fabric maintains its shape and appearance even after repeated use and washing. This makes it an ideal choice for apparel such as shirts, workwear, and outdoor garments. Additionally, certain variations of our Oxford fabric are treated or woven with synthetic fibers like polyester to provide water resistance, expanding its application to outdoor gear, bags, and waterproof clothing. This makes Suerte a trusted partner for businesses seeking versatile, stylish, and robust Oxford fabric for diverse applications.
Oxford cloth fabric is known for its distinct weave and durability. At Suerte, we provide a variety of Oxford fabric types to suit different preferences and functional demands.
Plain Oxford fabric is the most common type. It is woven with a basket-like texture that gives it a soft hand-feel and a slightly lustrous finish. This fabric is breathable, lightweight, and easy to maintain. It is a perfect choice for everyday shirts, uniforms, and light dresses. Suerte offers customizable color and weight options for plain Oxford, making them adaptable for both casual and formal wear.
Pinpoint Oxford has a finer weave compared to plain Oxford. It offers a smoother and more elegant appearance while maintaining the strength that Oxford fabrics are known for. This fabric is highly valued in formal shirts and premium uniforms. Suerte ensures a clean finish with pinpoint Oxford, creating a refined look that balances durability and style.

The denier (D) level in Oxford fabric refers to the thickness of the yarns used. At Suerte, we offer a wide range of denier options to meet various strength and weight requirements.
To make Oxford fabric even more versatile, Suerte provides coating solutions that add specialized functions.
PU (polyurethane) coating adds a soft finish, water resistance, and extra durability. It is widely used in jackets, raincoats, and fashion accessories. Suerte customizes PU-coated Oxford fabrics with different levels of coating thickness depending on customer requirements.
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) coating provides higher waterproofing, toughness, and resistance to chemicals. This fabric is ideal for outdoor furniture, tents, tarpaulins, and industrial products. Suerte’s PVC-coated Oxford fabrics combine strength with long-lasting protection.
One reason Oxford fabric is so popular is its inherent strength and versatility. Suerte enhances these features to provide specialized fabrics for demanding environments.
Our waterproof Oxford fabric options are treated with advanced coatings to repel water and moisture. Ideal for outdoor gear, backpacks, and rainwear, these fabrics keep contents dry while maintaining breathability. Suerte customizes waterproof ratings depending on your project, ensuring superior protection without compromising comfort.
Durability is at the core of Oxford fabric’s appeal. Suerte manufactures Oxford fabrics designed to withstand abrasion, tearing, and heavy usage. These durable fabrics are perfect for workwear, bags, and upholstery where long-lasting strength is critical. We can customize denier levels and weave density for enhanced wear resistance.
Ripstop Oxford fabric integrates a special reinforcing technique that makes the fabric resistant to tearing and ripping. This is achieved through a crosshatch weave pattern with stronger yarns at intervals. Suerte’s ripstop Oxford fabrics are ideal for tents, outdoor gear, and protective clothing, giving you peace of mind in rugged conditions.

Manufacturing Process
Oxford fabric follows several steps in the manufacturing process. They are:
Yes, you can put heat transfer vinyl (HTV) on Oxford fabric, but there are some important considerations. Oxford fabric is often made with polyester or nylon, which are heat sensitive materials. When applying HTV to Oxford fabric, it is best to use a heat transfer vinyl that adheres at lower temperatures to avoid scorching or damaging the fabric. Using a Teflon sheet or parchment paper as a protective layer during heat pressing is advisable. Also, pre-pressing the fabric to remove moisture and creases helps ensure a better bond. The heat press temperature should generally be kept lower than on cotton fabrics, around 270°F or less, with higher pressure and slightly longer pressing times as needed. Start with a test press on a small area if possible to avoid damaging the fabric.
For nylon Oxford fabric, Siser EasyWeed Extra is recommended since it is designed for heat-sensitive materials. If the Oxford fabric is polyester, a lower temperature PU HTV is suggested to prevent heat damage.
To clean Oxford fabric, the key steps include wiping general dirt with a damp cloth and using mild detergent or soapy water for stubborn stains. Machine washing is usually safe on a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water and mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals or bleach. Air drying is preferred to prevent shrinking and maintain the fabric’s shape, and it’s best to avoid direct sunlight during drying to prevent fading. For ironing, use a low to medium heat setting with a pressing cloth.
For stain removal:
Yes, you can iron Oxford fabric. The best practice is to iron it while the fabric is still slightly damp. If the fabric is completely dry, use the steam setting on your iron or lightly spray it with water before ironing. Set the iron to a medium to high heat suitable for cotton fabrics, and if unsure, test on a hidden area first. Ironing inside out is recommended to protect the color and prevent shine marks. Using a pressing cloth or a thin towel between the iron and fabric can also help protect it. After ironing, hang the garment immediately to maintain crispness.
Oxford fabric is generally durable and wrinkle-resistant to some extent, but cotton versions, in particular, tend to wrinkle and often require ironing for a crisp look.
